MakoDrone is the innovative remotely piloted aircraft developed by Mako-Shark, designed and built entirely from advanced composite materials. The result of the company’s consolidated know-how, the project was created with the aim of combining operational versatility and high performance in a compact and lightweight platform.
The drone offers high-level performance while maintaining compact dimensions and weight. It is capable of vertical take-off and landing (VTOL), hovering, and, at the same time, covering long distances in high-speed horizontal flight, ensuring a wide operating range.
Advanced avionics and state-of-the-art control systems enable complete remote control and automated mission execution, ensuring reliability, precision and safety in every operational scenario.
MakoDrone is designed for a wide range of applications, including land and infrastructure monitoring, environmental and pollution control, civil protection, post-disaster response, forest fire prevention, and search and rescue operations.
The platform is highly customisable, both in terms of electronics and control systems and in terms of payload, allowing the integration of dedicated sensors and payloads for specific missions.
The project was carried out with the support of the Lombardy Region and the European Union, as part of the ERDF 2021-2027 Regional Operational Programme.
